Cadavre Exquis – BEAST OF A BOOK

“Cadavre Exquis” is a game the Surrealists used to often play: one person writes a paragraph or draws something, folds the sheet of paper to conceal it, and then the next person writes or draws something to add to it. In our workshop, we used this technique to create a collective intelligence, playing Cadavre Exquis in an ambitious collaborative effort to create a book of exceptional scope that includes both text and illustrations. We published this beast of a book and had a book launch party to celebrate the creation of what will invariably come to be seen as the codex of CDS madness and beauty.
