In Buddhist cosmology, Hungry Ghosts are depicted with large, empty bellies. They have pinhole mouths and their necks are so thin that they are unable to eat and swallow, so they remain hungry. They are associated with addiction, obsession, and compulsion. Hungry Ghosts constantly seek something outside of themselves to still an insatiable yearning for relief or fulfilment. The book meditates on the implications of a wounded capacity to relate to oneself and to the world and aims to counteract that with a kaleidoscope of memoirs. Artist’s book and installation, 2022
