The aims of conservation are as diverse as the art and cultural assets to be conserved. In the case of the recently restored Dusika racing bike from the 1960s, the aim was to preserve the substance while restoring the bike’s suitability for everyday use. Daily use in all weather conditions had taken its toll on the bike’s frame. Defects in the original blue and silver paintwork and corrosion were the result. The film made during the conservation of this not quite everyday conservation task will be shown at the Angewandte Festival.
