REALITY AND OTHER IMPOSSIBLE THINGS

What would happen if we understood the impossible, the dream, and fantasy not as philosophical counter-concepts of reality, but rather as a feedback loop and entry point into other possible realities? Under the title “Reality and Other Impossible Things,” curator Nora Mayr brings together the tender, loud, humorous, and imaginary worlds of students of painting and animation film. The exhibition takes shape as a playful arrangement of animation, sculpture, and painting in which visions of fantastical animal figures, exposed love, and discarded pomegranates are interwoven.
