The Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab (AIL) is a platform for art, science, and artistic research - a place that creates and facilitates connections. With the Park Lab, the AIL expands into public space: connecting inside and outside, the university with its neighborhood, relaxing with content. As part of the Grätzloase initiative, two parking lots will be occupied and newly shaped. The Park Lab will be ceremonially opened, is a meeting point, a place for rest, exchange and program. UPDATE: Since the AIL Park Lab has not received permission to convert parking spaces into a Grätzloase, the selected parking lot for the period of the Angewandte Festival will now be occupied by a car. The Cabriobeet, a private initiative of filmmaker Christoph Schwarz and neighborhood project from Vienna's 9th district, is a raised garden bed in a yellow Peugeot 306 as well as an art project with an activist message.
