Better together? Exhibition-making strategies between the Ego and the Collective

For the exhibition as part of the Angewandte Festival, students from the Photography/Gabriele Rothemann class will form a curatorial collective together with students from other departments (within and outside the Angewandte). In addition to the development of individual artistic works, different phases of an exhibition process (conceptualization, design, verbalization, writing, communication with different types of audiences, public relations, documentation and critical reflection) will be developed as part of the seminar Better together? Exhibition-making strategies between the Ego and the Collective, led by visiting professor and curator Hana Ostan Ožbolt. The focus is on the development of a collective that grows and benefits from the experience and knowledge of each participant. The collective work process, weekly discussions and intensive reading lead to a joint exhibition.
