The Russian war on Ukraine has catapulted the energy crisis to the centre of social discourse. For a year now, the energy crisis has been on everyone's lips. Our electricity and gas bills are skyrocketing and we seem to be at the mercy of the system. Daddy's favourite: Monsta Energy: an installation is a spatial installation that resists this dependence. It questions the historical development of the concept and term energy and navigates between the pursuit of growth and the everyday abyss, the physical and psychological consequences. A visual-poetic negotiation of the questions of our time. Or: a commemoration of a theatre evening that once was.
