Hans Felix Kraus studied at the Angewandte as a teenager. His works were exhibited at the Secession, the MAK, at the World Fair in Brussels and in Viennese galleries. The artist worked successfully as a culturally and politically active author, curator and art critic until he had to flee Austria in 1938. His series Tartarin de Tarascon (1933/34) is exhibited again for the first time in almost 90 years – an attempt to bring this mostly forgotten artist back into the collective consciousness.
