Our built environment is largely made up of standardized architectural elements, all designed by engineers or designers. So what happens when we rethink the design of these primary building blocks? Students of the department for Industrial Design 1 led by Stefan Diez has examined these standardized building elements in light of climate change. What utopias of sustainable living could we imagine if we were to redesign our built environment from the ground up? And which elements would have to be completely reinvented to achieve the future we all dream of? On the occasion of the exhibition, the MAK opens the direct connecting gate from the courtyard of the Angewandte to the MAK garden. The exhibition at the MAK Garden is open Tue 27.6. - Sun 2.7., daily 10 am to 6 pm and Tuesday 10 am to 9 pm. Opening Hours MAK: Tue 10 am – 9 pm, Wed–Sun 10 am – 6 pm
