We argue that the current state of the world is unsustainable. If the world does not change its trajectory of overconsumption, environmental degradation, and social inequality, then the future of humanity and the planet will be at risk. Klasse Kartak explores emotions such as hope and hopelessness, joy and anger, desire and disgust to envision changes in our world that would have a transformative effect on ourselves and others. The audience of the exhibition will see and experience design proposals, prototypes or artifacts that have the potential to change our collective future. They will encounter ideas or solutions that challenge existing norms or systems and suggest new ways of thinking and dealing with complex problems. Simply said, this exhibition is about transformations of culture.
