This exhibition shows the results of the co-operation between the Tokyo University of the Arts (Japan) and the University of Applied Arts Vienna. 18 students devoted their artistic research to the Byobu screen and the space for dialogue between past and present, East and West, which are necessary for the joint creation of a future culture. The works are also currently on display in the foyer of the Austrian pavilion at Expo Osaka-Kansai 2025 (via Artivive). As part of the opening, the traditional Pauwlownia box will be ceremonially opened and unfolded for the exhibition. Opening: Wed 25 June, 6 p.m.
