In GEM GEM, the departments of Art Education — KKP, DAE, and TEX — place stories of collective making, learning, and teaching at the center. Inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin’s The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction, the exhibition gathers works developed through collaborative processes. With a focus on participatory and process-based formats, GEM GEM invites dialogue and exchange. From woven acts of solidarity and poetic contaminations to imaginary media, the contributions reflect diverse approaches to collective practice, technology, and education. Come celebrate the beauty of everyday things: carve a spoon, take a seat on iconic furniture made from simple materials, or learn how to knot your own GEM GEM carrier-bag. Discover hidden messages in a textile installation that explores self-worth and internalized misogyny, play a card game that encourages reflection on personal desires, or flip through magazines created by students — and more.
