Colour is one of the most immediate and powerful elements of visual experience. The Art & Science Department presents “I'm abundant, yet scarce.”, an exhibition exploring a myriad of approaches to colour - some literal, some metaphorical. As part of a historical cellar system beneath the surface of Vienna’s first district, the exhibition space itself is a unique site. This invites visitors to interact with their surroundings and further reflect on the topics explored in the exhibition. Coming from different backgrounds - some artistic, some scientific - the artists have all responded to one word: colour. What has emerged from these different strands of experiences is an exhibition that presents the abstract, yet tangible. The abundant, yet scarce. The exhibition opens with a vernissage at Minuszwei (Domgasse 6) on June 24 at 6 p.m. From June 25 to 29, the exhibition is open daily from 11–6 pm., with guided tours offered at 5 p.m.
