What if you could embroider with a joystick — or through dance movements? Stitchlab is a collaborative research initiative that transforms old sewing machines into digitally controlled embroidery machines. By combining textile practices with digital fabrication and AI, students, teachers, and makers develop programmable, tactile interfaces. As part of the textile department, Stitchlab aims to make technology accessible and open source.
