Thresholds – Michael Robert Jiménez

A door suggests a passageway, a threshold. The starting point of the project is a bricked-up double door that once led to the TransArts studios. Michael Robert Jiménez's contribution ‘tacit’ deals with the thresholds of the self - a surveillance camera and warning signs refer to the illusion of clear boundaries. This creates a digital interface between the demarcated space and the passing of time, generating an ambiguity between observation and control.
