In the studio, the Department of Industrial Design presents diploma ('AAA) and pre-diploma projects, along with insights into the “Chairs x HAY” semester projects. Design practice in Industrial Design (ID) moves across a range of formats and projects. The shared workspace expands as needed, allowing different approaches to develop side by side. In the exhibition, this logic becomes spatial. A structured surface reflects how current design questions are addressed through intersections, friction and the negotiation of multiple perspectives. “Chairs x HAY” is a collaboration with the Danish design company HAY offering students a hands-on framework that links design experimentation with professional expertise. The chair is “not merely another object”, but a concentrated design task. — What does it actually mean to design a chair?
