Conceptually, working with Photoshop is derived from analogue darkroom practice; consequently, all tools are modelled on analogue techniques. As part of a lecture, we traced the software back to its origins and applied the tools and image correction functions to negatives, as well as during enlargement and post-processing of prints. The resulting works and individual process outcomes will be presented as part of the Angewandte Festival and shared and discussed publicly with the students in the form of a talk.
