Social Slush

The Department of Social Design at Angewandte is hosting a limitless banquet, a feast of four days welcoming everybody to join, of course. A hopefully endless table will spill out from Social Design studio located on the 4th floor of Vordere Zollamtsstraße 7 into the hallways of the building, unfolding as a hugging friendly being. The tables will provide an installation, carrying traces of the studio’s extended community and its ongoing dialogues and networks. As this living structure stretches and entangles, embraces and connects, it also transforms the building into a shared space of encounter, inviting people to gather, share meals, dance on tables, exchange ideas, join forces and thus contribute to an open joint. In doing so, our fête asks to dissolve boundaries between the inside and the outside, between institution and public, creating a temporary infrastructure of conviviality, connection, care, and collective presence.
