Does architecture always need to be physical? What methods of spatial expression, notation, expansion, and new forms of awareness can be achieved and designed through media? And what role can AR play in (re)programming space, particularly in terms of exhibition design and design methods? In the course “other matter,” we will investigate possibilities for populating virtual and augmented space through a playful use of digital technologies. The outcome of the course will be shown as part of an exhibition about the Austrian architect Günther Domenig scheduled for summer 2022 and extending over four venues, including the Heft in Hüttenberg, Corinthia.
