Based on the book ‘Nomadic Furniture’ (1971), students of the course 'Studio Holz' developed refined plug-in seating furniture with character. We studied the origins of DIY and experimented with existing designs from ‘Nomadic Furniture’ in order to develop them further and adapt them to our specific needs. In an iterative design process, seating furniture was created that took shape by plugging, wedging or bracing and was produced using a CNC milling machine. As part of ‘GEM GEM’.
