"Note III" is the product of a two-year long research project into the artwork "Stage Set" (1991) by Donald Judd. Originally created as a stage design for Trisha Brown's piece "Newark" (1987), later realized and produced for the MAK, it now stands as a static monument in Stadtpark vanishing into plain sight. "Notes III" sees itself as a performative critique, transhistorical reactivation and reinterpretation, focusing on the underlying assumptions of often forceful division of spaces.
