Phrasing (Hohltier)

Phrasing (Hohltier) explores a way of dealing with social and individual continuities after 1945, addressing the subtle exercise of power and discipline in public space through the existing architecture. Inspired by the motif of figurelessness, the deformation of the body is explored by using various fabrics and movement material to the extent of unrecognizability - a deformation in resistance to the violent categorizations to which we are subjected.
