Working with text has long since left the desk. This abandonment is accompanied by the question of space - where does text that continues to think beyond the classic form (pen, paper, laptop) or even withdraws from it disappear to? What do these works look like? Students of the Institute of Language Arts design a space and show a wide variety of things: audio pieces, films, (print) graphics, collaborative projects with visual artists, spatial interventions and much more... As these works stand next to each other and share a context, the question often posed to us students - ‘What is Language Art anyway?’ - becomes even more difficult to answer due to the diversity that has become visible. But that is also the interesting thing about this joint exhibition: to move along this open question and perhaps take some detours.
