In ‘GEM GEM’, students and lecturers are organising a short film programme, post-migrant storytelling, DJ workshops, a workshop with buttons, a screen printing exhibition and live acts, building and dismantling operating instructions, they are showing ‘NARRATIVES OF MIGRATION’ in textile and indigo, ‘Nomadic Furniture’, human devices while drawing, objects from the ‘WERK_LABOR’, flax harvesting in the garden of the Zentrum Fokus Forschung and site-specific performances. Last but not least, they invite you to exhibitions by the student initiatives 30gramm and g.o.l.f.klub as well as to a joyful and friendly get-together with guests! In addition, research projects from the departments KKP (Art and Communication Practices), TEX (Textiles - Free, Applied and Experimental Artistic Design) and DAE (Design, Architecture and Environment for Art Education) will be presented, such as ‘SPACEX’ on the rise of nationalisms in Europe and their artistic and urban ‘counterpublics’ or ‘Knitted Anatomy’ on the artistic visualisation of the inner body.
